 Pífanos or pifes are bamboo crafted Brazilian transverse flutes. The most used tunings are C and G. Other tunings are also possible and used, as A, B flat, F, E, D and high pitched G. It reaches 2.5 octaves. Chromaticism is possible using half holes.
